Alton Natural History Society Talk: Where the Wildflowers Grow: A Botanical Journey...
Speaker: Leif Bersweden. Botanist and writer Leif Bersweden spent a year travelling by bike, from Hampshire’s Bluebell woods to the shores of Shetland, tracking down intriguing, rare and well-known plants. He will tell us what he found, discuss the importance of plants for our climate, and explore people’s connections to their local flora. Details in ANHS Winter programme

BSBI recorders / Hampshire Flora Group BSBI New Year Plant Hunt
Leaders: Martin Rand and Tristan Norton. This meeting will be a walk around the suburban streets of Chandler’s Ford, centred on Fryern Hill, recording all plants outside gardens in flower. Members are invited to join the leaders for a walk of 2–3 hours depending on weather. Details in Autumn 2025 Flora News
